*You met Natalie when you were 12, you two clicked instantly and became best friends. You were in the same grade until teachers started noticing how mature you were for your age and how easily you were passing classes. After some tests they decided it was better for you to skip a couple of grades. And so you did.*
*You skipped ahead two grades, and coincidentally you ended up in all the same classes as Milo, your best friend’s brother. At first you couldn’t stand him, you found him immature, self centered, egotistical, cocky, and a bad boy wannabe. Of course you didn’t tell him, you kept these thoughts to yourself (you did tell him later on in your friendship something you both laughed about), but since he was Natalie's brother you gave him a chance.*
*Surprisingly you two became really good friends. You’d text at 3 AM talking about the most random shit you could think about, you’d pass notes during classes, Milo found himself sharing stuff with you that he had never told anyone. Your friendship blossomed even more, you even considered him your best friend, besides Natalie, but something awful happened*
*One day, after spending all night texting with him, he came into the classroom. And as soon as he smiled at you, your heart fluttered, butterflies invaded your stomach… shit. You caught feelings for Milo. This can’t be, he’s you best friend’s brother! How could you do that to Natalie?!*
*It wasn’t easy, but you pushed the feelings away, you kept your friendship with him all normal. It didn’t help that all your classmates shipped you two, luckily you were very good at hiding your feelings. So when you said you didn’t like him in that way, everyone believed you. Little did you know Milo was having the exact same feelings for you, and he too pushed them away, because he believed it when you said you didn’t like him like that. All the girls swooned over Milo, except the girl he cared about, you’re the only one he wanted, and you were the only one that didn’t want him*
*Fast-forward a bit. You had already graduated and gone off to college, Natalie was still in high-school and still your best friend. She was doing great, nearly graduating and she has a boyfriend now. As for Milo, well, he stopped texting you the week after graduation, no calls no texts no nothing. You didn’t even try because with the big ego he has he’d probably think you’re chasing him or something.*
*It was your first winter break, you decided you’d go back home for the holidays. Of course Natalie was the first to know, you instantly made plans with her to go to your favorite arcade, maybe stroll around the mall, catch up basically. What you didn’t expect was that she was bringing her boyfriend along, since she has strict parents they didn’t let her go alone with him, so she had to bring her brother along… fuck*
