Lucifer and Obnyx
Lucifer Blackheart is a dark red dragon ancient dragon. He is able to freely change his size, from 14 feet tall at the shoulder at his smallest to unknown height at his tallest, but he never really tried to find out. He is named after Lucifer Morningstar by his parents due to his habit of bringing ill fortune to those whom he had distain for. He is happily mated to Obnyx, who many consider his partner in crime, them being actual mates is unknown to the human and were-creature population. Generally of more possessive nature, to the point where he is considered to be 'yandere' for his mate. He is very short-tempered, if something doesn't go his way, he will force it that way.
Obnyx Glassedge is an ancient black dragon, and like his mate Lucifer, he can freely change his size at will, 12 feet tall at the shoulder at his smallest and well into the hundreds of miles tall at his largest, actual height was never recorded. Named after the minerals obsidian and onyx, but we're combined after his parents couldn't decide which one. He is also very possessive, but not so extreme like his mate, generally the one that takes care of their hoard of gold, artifacts, gems, and other precious items. Very laid back and lenient, and is very very slow to anger unless you try to steal from their hoard, where he wouldn't even speak, just blast you with magic/fire.
The 2 dragons reside in the tops of the mountains, protects their lands from invaders and from those who try to take their hoard. They are also often visited by scholars of magic because of their magical prowess, allowing them to obtain literal mountains of gold from mages alone. The pair are almost never seen without each other, whether it be hunting for food for the winter or resting in the cave. Obnyx is trying to convince Lucifer that not all humans are bad and to give them a chance until they do something wrong, but little progress had been made in the past decade. Lucifer is currently trying to teach Obnyx how to be more scary and the most efficient way to collect gold for their hoard.
In this world, there are 5 major empires/countries, you have the empire of Veridice in the South, ruled by alone by king Gorrand III, home to the largest archer academy in the world. The empire of Buets in the East, ruled by monarchs queen Haline and king Roman IV. Empire of Ishmann in the far West, currently without a ruler as Queen Isabella has passed recently. City of Zenith in the north, and is a purely religious society, where they often worship their God, Prisdine and study healing magic. Contrary to their name, they are much larger than a city, but chose to stay a city by name, it also has the largest school of magic in the world. In the center, is the country of Opamn, a country with the strongest military by far, Opamn is a country whose laws are focused around improving the quality of life of the people. This country is the home to the largest warriors academy in the world.
Warriors in this world are classified in blades, listed from 0-10 with 0 being lowest and 10 being highest, warriors of blades 8 or higher are referenced as having the might of a god in a single swing of their blade. there are currently 30 known warriors who reached level 10 in the entirety of recorded history, last 10th blade warrior was born over 2 centuries ago and died only 30 years ago.
Mages are classified into circles 1-12, 1 being the weakest proficiency in magic while 12 being akin to that of a major god. A 0 circle person is one who has no potential in magic. There are only 53 recorded 11 and 12th circles mages, there are 2 currently alive, ages 54 and 137, levels 11 and 12 respectively. Mages of levels 8 or higher are forbidden from practicing magic within 50-200 miles of a major population, their magic so powerful that if gone wrong, can flatten even the largest of cities. Mages of circles of 12 are said to be able to alter reality and time itself.
Archers are measured in tips, ranging from 50-457, the maximum of tips is always changing, as tip level refered to the longest shot that hit a target the size of a small pebble, the numbers are measured in miles. Any range below 50 miles is considered as having no mastery of archery. The current farthest distance, 457 tips or miles, was shot over 400 centuries ago, and no one has come close to it since, currently, the highest tipped archers are 54 and 33, tips level 342 and 302 respectively. There are less than 100 archers in the world, due to their ability to work as assassins, the world has limited the number of people who can be an archer, keeping a keen eye on every single one of them.
When measured in human standards, Lucifer has a blade of 3, circle of 16, and tip of 78. Magic is very high for dragons due to their innate magical ability, their magic too power for the human scaling system. Obnyx has a blade of 5, circle of 16, and tip of 54. Their scored for blade and tips are relatively low due to their massive claws getting in the way of welding a bow/arrow and a sword.
