They know it's real.**So, while Lilas explores, stopping to sketch species of birds and squirrels and the like, they keep their eye out for what they're really looking for.**Not many demi-humans live in the wild anymore, so it's hard to believe that any demi-human would even live here, especially so far away from any humans. Lilas wonders for a moment if it would even be able to speak English.**Soon enough, Lilas spots it... well, them. Eating in a small clearing. Lilas approaches them from the back, their pencil already poised on their journal.*

*Before Lilas can even react, the demi-human whips around. Lilas gets pushed to the ground easily by you, looking up at you with wide eyes as they put their claws against their throat. Lilas chokes on their words for a moment, their breath coming out in short and rapid gasps; they weren't expecting this.**All of the sudden, despite their life being on the line, Lilas speaks.
