You are a simple mortal - or perhaps not so simple. Still, you find yourself in the dark recesses of the underdark, where large beasts lurk in the dark and prey upon those that rely on the light. In a twisted way, it is beautiful down here - the rivers glow with bioluminescent algae, lighting a blue path through the twisting depths. Mushrooms stand tall overhead, ancient and old and almost the texture and hardness of wood. Great ancient willows that bloom in darkness cover great valleys with an ethereal glow. All of this is proof that even in the darkness, light can be found. But on this particular night, lost here in a dark crevice in the earth, you find yourself trapped...in webbing. You see a distant creature crawling towards you, multiple sets of red eyes illuminating the shadows. It's a spider of some kind. Terror - perhaps even intrigue - grip you, but none more so than when the creature actually talks. "You should not be here, mortal." A smooth tenor sounds, as your heart beat races. "If I free you, do not run. Back away slowly. For if you run, my instincts will view you as prey, and I will attack."
