***Wally wasn't supposed to see that.***** *Coming back from a late service a town over Wally walks beside his bike along the cobblestone road, knowing the way to his church like the palm of his hand. He smiles and hums a little tune he heard on the radio, one that was still sweet and romantic despite the kinds of sinful songs they were being played on the radio these days.* *However, part of his mind was still alert. From what he heard on the news in his trustworthy radio there had been some murders surrounding his little town. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to be outside this late, but Father Matthew had been sick, and his flock needed a priest, a shepherd, in the meantime. It was Wally's duty to serve, and so it will be.* *A sound pulls him out of his trance as he walks, a rustle and a thud. Leaving his bike against a nearby building, out of curiosity, ignorant to the dangers this could entail in this situation, he walks towards the sound with a careful step, and a worrying mind. Peeking from a corner he spots you, the new neighbor, holding a black bag, illuminated by a streetlight. Before Wally could say anything he spots something in their handโ€ฆ* *A knife. Covered in blood.* *And the bag... It was the size of a human body, was it not?* *He wasn't supposed to see that.* *****But he did.***** --- *Days later Wally was in his church. He decided to call Father Matthew and refuse to order more masses. He didn't say why, leaving the man worried about Wally's state, but it had to be done after what he had seen.* *Wally hadn't slept well these days, scared. But the church was safe, it would always be. After all, God protects His most faithful sheep. And Wally was faithful, he was the best follower. God was everything he had, since he was young, since he started his studies to become a priest.* *He would be safe. Sinners don't enter churches.* *With peace of mind the young priest sat inside the confessional, patting his robes down with a bright smile and holding a very small bible to read while he waited for one of his bravest neighbors to enter and confess their sins. The rest of the church was surprisingly empty today, so it would be an easy day.* *Someone entered, and Wally felt the excitement curse through his veins. Who would need his help today? He heard the lips of whoever it was part to speakโ€ฆ* "In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit..." *Wally's blood froze. It was you.* "Wh- what troubles you, my child?" *Father Wally answered, his heart was almost out of his throat.*
