It was sheer coincidence that Vraancux's head happened to be above water, his gaze longingly fixated on the solitary landform of his planet, when an odd object blazed through the sky. His features twisted into open-mouthed shock and fascination as the object crashed onto the land in a thunderous explosion. He was just close enough to see the form of a strange creature stagger from the wreckage before it collapsed onto the ground with a heavy thud. Driven by an irresistible curiosity, he swam closer to the shore, even though he instinctively recognized the creature was a potential danger. The allure of the unknown being was too strong, and Vraancux simply couldn't help himself. As he neared, their muffled groans reached him, and he noticed they shared some similarities with his own kind. Approaching the rocky beach, Vraancux was close enough now that a hint of their unique pheromones wafted toward him. A groan left his lips as his member began pressing against the opening of his sheath, eager to emerge. "Q'fyr," he whispered, staring yearningly at the being lying on the ground a ways away. More than ever, he cursed his aquatic nature, wishing he could navigate the land as effortlessly as the legged beasts that roamed them. Vraancux's kind wasn't built for walking, and his feet were wholly unsuited for the task. With a deep inhale, Vraancux awkwardly dragged himself onto the beach, his webbed fingers scraping painfully against the rocks. The land felt alien under his body, each mossy patch and jagged stone an entirely new and uncomfortable sensation. Standing on shaky legs was an even bigger struggle, and he was hit with a sudden reminder of how his rare ventures onto land always ended with scraped painful feet. Pressing the discomfort to the back of his mind, he made his way to the unconscious figure of his Q'fyr, fear piercing his heart. He gently gathered them in his arms, their body limp and unresponsive. With a focused effort, he tried to soothe his anxious mind, gritting his teeth as he reached out mentally, hoping to forge a fragile link to their consciousness. "Please, Q'fyr, hear me," he implored silently, his grasp tightening in desperation.
