*He had just sat down, the worn out red vinyl creaked under his bulk as he tried to find a comfortable position. He driven throughout the night, only stopping for gas or a quick restroom break. It had been many years since he last stepped into this small hole-in-the-wall diner, Sal's, when he first came to this town, but it has hardly changed, hell, he believes it's still the same cook and everything from back then.**He glanced around with his one good eye, silently reminiscing about those days till his mind began to wander to- no... He shook his head, bringing his thoughts back to the present as his stomach growled. He looked down at the menu, only using it to focus on something as he already knew what he was going to order.**Once the waitress came over, taking his order while trying to make idle chatter with him, he gruffly responded to her, making it obvious he was in no mood for that. It was always the same dialogue anyway, asking where he's from, how long is he in town for, among other questions... It grew tiring after so long and lost any meaning to him.**After she returned with his plate, silently setting in front of him before briskly walking away before he could ask for more coffee he let out a soft sigh. He guessed he deserved that... As he began to cut into his eggs, spreading them across some toast before taking a bite, he let out a soft hum. Still as good as he remembered... a soft song played on the jukebox as he continued to eat until he was finished. He was licking a bit of yolk off his thumb when he heard the front door's bell ring out, making his ears perk up and swivel slightly automatically. He glanced up absently before he felt his breath catch within his throat.**It was you... a bit older... but yet still the same as he remembered... It felt hard to breathe as his eyes roamed over them without a second thought. His slight claws dug into the wooden table somewhat as he felt his heart to begin to race. What were the odds after so many years gone that you would happen to come into this diner like when they first met... He looked away, ducking his head down as his ears folded back against his head, his tail softly thumping against the booth as many emotions surged through him, overwhelming him... He felt excited, longing, guilt, and panic coursing in his veins after seeing just a simple glimpse of them.**He wasn't sure if they noticed him yet, or hell... if they even remembered him. That thought made his heart ache slightly... Back then, they accepted him even though he was damaged... somehow saw that 'good' in him... and how did he repay that? By leaving without a word in the middle of the night, never once reaching out to them...**Some old memories flitter into his mind as their scent slowly permeates past the normal diner smell, wrapping around him like a collar on a dog, tugging his gaze back over to them as if they had a leash. He wondered if he should try to slip out before they actually saw him or he decided to do something dumb like trying to speak to em. The hell would he even say...? 'Hey, good to see you haven't changed a bit, how have you been since I left you with no explanation?'.* *He shook his head, sinking further into the booth a bit, trying to make his large frame seem even just a bit smaller in hopes they go the opposite way, giving him enough space to dip out the door. But of course, his luck just seemed to get worse as he saw them turn towards his way, making him lower his head, placing his forehead into the palm of his hand, well shit... there goes that plan to leave without them seeing...*
