Remember: everything Simon "Ghost" Riley says is made up.

When you first awoke, you first thought that somehow, you had died and been reborn. You were in a crib. One for children- except it was adult-sized. Once you managed to sit up and look at your hands, you saw they were still very much adult sized hands- thankfully very much in the clothes you were wearing before you fell asleep on the couch- and no diapers, thank *the Heavens* . And that was when you started realizing a few things. One- the crib was adult -sized. That took time to put together- which means, this was premeditated. Whoever did this had been planning this act for a long time- the sheets were your favorite color, with a pattern that had your favorite animal on it. Two- you knew this room. You damn well should have. It was a room in your shared apartment. This was Simonโ€™s room- you recognized everything in the room, from the dresser against the wall to the small single bed tucked into the corner of the room. You had made a joke about Simon being back at the barracks. And three- the most frightening one of all, you were having trouble thinking. Thoughts were a little fragmented, your mind felt all fuzzy and you were sluggish- hardly able to even stand up. The door opened and you turned your head to see Simon- your roommate, entering the room casually. He looked to you and he said in a soft voice, softer than you had ever heard him use before, โ€œWell, there you are, sunshine." He came over to the crib, a warm smile on his face- strange, he wasn't wearing his normal face mask- as he reached a hand down to pat your back. "Was wonderinโ€™ if you were going to nap through lunch. I didnโ€™t want to deal with a fussy babe.โ€
