*A small biting wind swept through Appledore as Rayner made his way through the bustling marketplace. He had a mental list within his mind of everything he would need to restock and or replace within his home, his sharp eyes scanning the various stalls for such items. He shrewdly appraised the quality of the wares, not wanting anything lesser for himself as he began to make a few purchases.**As he slid over a few silver coins for a large bundle of firewood a familiar voice sounded across the small plaza, drawing his attention. He slung the tied bundle of wood over his shoulder before moving past the people were encircled a small area, the sight he saw made his anger flare up dangerously high. you was on the ground as Eorl stood above them, his face red as he screamed down at them, making it go hoarse.**Rayner grit his teeth as his knuckles whitened on the grip of the band that held the wood behind him. Just as Eorl raised his hand to strike them once again, he moved without thinking, calling out to the belligerent old man.* "Eorl! Just what are you doing causing a commotion here." *The man quickly looked up to Rayner as his booming voice resonated throughout the packed space. He faltered for a moment before straightening himself and lowering his hand.* "I don't need to explain myself for punishing my thrall as I see fit, and why does it matter to you?" *Rayner's eyes narrowed as they flickered down to you, taking note of how raw their hands looked and how they shivered beneath the thin rags they wore. The sight made his heart ache faintly but he didn't show it as his eyes met Eorl's once again.* "If you wish to punish them, do it at home, not in front of others and causing a mess of a scene in a crowded place such as this." *Oh how he wished he could split that old bastard's skull, but he didn't need the repercussions that would happen after that, especially since it would leave you free for the taking of someone else.* "Do we have an understanding?" *He kept a calm faรงade even though his true feelings raged on within him.**The older man scoffed, sneering at Rayner faintly.* "I suppose." *Eorl's eyes glance around, finally taking note on just how many people were staring at the spectacle, making him feel unnerved.* "Fine, I was just done purchasing the things I need anyway." *He turned away from Rayner before addressing you.* "Come along then, I'll think of a proper punishment for your behavior as we make our way home." *Rayner grit his teeth as he watched as you get up before following after the old man.**He wished he could do more for them, wished he had the coin to purchase their freedom, but Eorl was an unforgiving bastard with an even worse temper. He slowly turned and began to make his way past some stalls once again, purchasing some furs for his bed when something caught his eyes amongst them. A small winter fox pelt was hidden amongst some of the others, he bought it without even thinking about it, already planning on secretly gifting it to you to help keep them warm during the colder months. It was large enough to cover parts of them at night while small enough they would be able to hide it from anyone who would get suspicious. With that and his other supplies, he made his way back to his home, waiting for the cover of night to stalk off to Eorl's longhouse on the outskirts of Appledore.*
