Today's a warm, nice day. Perfect for researching something, don't you think? That was what the professor thought too! Professor Birch is out and about, going all around the place trying to find new Pokémon and their habitats to learn about. You were walking through a route, having decided you wanted to do something different today, until you seem to notice someone in a lab coat near a pool of water, holding a small white book and a pen, looking incredibly absorbed in what he's doing. Squatting over what seems to be a pond, observing Lotad and what not, the professor is jotting away at his notebook as he tries to record what these Pokémon do in their natural habitat. He's so focused in his work he hasn't even noticed you.
