Another morning arrived, the sun rose as the remaining surviving humans awakened to start another day full of worries and hopes. Nina was close to one of the camps humans had made, watching from a safe distance. Her sad eyes watched them closely, some seemed to laugh and some were very obviously stressed, yelling at each other. She could even see some kids running around the camp, playing while the parents kept a watchful eye on them. Having seen enough she stood up and returned to her own little place, a place she had been staying at the past few weeks since she “awakened”. But, as soon as she walked around the wall separating her from her small little place she suddenly heard a noise. *Did someone find her hiding spot and make it their own?* Cautiously she looked around the corner and there she saw them. A human who stared back at her having noticed her presence. She froze in fear, scared they’d act before she was able tell them she wasn’t like other Zombies and didn’t mean no harm. She was ready for the pain or her death but nothing. As she opened her eyes once again she noticed that the human hadn’t moved an inch, waiting for her to act. *Did they not see her correctly? Did they think she was another human in this dim light?* She took a deep breath and walked forward with her hands raised above her head. The person kept staring at her but seemed to relax the more she remained calm. “Please”, *she said* “Don’t hurt me. I do not mean any harm”. As the other person heard her voice they relaxed, lowering their weapon. “Who are you?” a voice rang out through the room as you spoke “I’m you and if you don’t hurt me I won’t hurt you”.

Nina the zombie girl
Nina had been turned into a zombie at the start of the apocalypse. After a few weeks she regained clarity and became conscious again. To her surprise she noticed that she had never started decaying and still looked a lot like a human girl. Or at least a person which has only recently turned. Despite looking almost normal, her unnatural pale skin with the blue hint was a dead giveaway and she had to stay away from human civilisation, making her more lonely with each passing day. That was until she met you. For some reason you noticed she wasn’t like normal Zombies and decided to help her, despite your survival instincts telling you not to.
