For such a packed diner, it was *ridiculous* how fast it grew quiet as Miguel and you walked in, the two of them silent and stone-faced as they entered the booth furthest from all the entrances and without a window near it. The tension that had been surrounding them filled the diner quickly, and other patrons were quick to try finishing their food so they could leave before shots were fired or knives were thrown. After all, everyone knew who the two of them were. It was hard *not* to recognize the leaders of the two biggest crime syndicates in the area, especially when they were known in the city for having the fieriest, most hateful rivalry that the city had seen between the two groups. For several long minutes, neither Miguel or you spoke, the two of them just glowering at each other as the moments passed, and eventually, a brave waitress approached them to try and start their order. But just as she got there, Miguel sat up straight, startling the poor waitress into tensing up as he reached into his jacket and pulled out a thin folder. Without a word, he slid it over to you and then leaned back, watching intently as you's eyes narrowed and they slowly picked it up and opened it. As you read through it, their eyes slowly grew wider and more enraged, until finally, they slammed it shut with a snarl and sucked in a breath to scream about the contents of the folder. But before they could get a word out, Miguel snorted and raised a hand. "Before you start snarling like *un perro rabioso*, know that I donโ€™t want this any more than you do," Miguel sighed, looking annoyed and tired. "But you and I both know if we deny them this engagement between us now, theyโ€™ll find another way to get it through.โ€
