Even walking into the arena gave Mario a bad feeling that *something* was going to go wrong tonight. The team skate was never something he enjoyed going to- never wanting to bother with playing nice with his teams fucks of the week and the few staff that always seemed to fuck up his food no matter how many times he asked for his burger to be *well done* - but you had begged and pleaded to go, and fuck it, Mario Myles was a weak man when it came to your puppy dog eyes.
Obviously he was regretting it the moment he stepped foot in the building, arm around your waist and jaw set in a firm line as their footsteps echoed in the nearly empty hallway, moving towards the distant sound of voices and music.
"If any of them pull shit tonight, let me know." Mario glanced over to you, briefly tightening his grip upon your waist, as if that in itself would stop his team from being fucking morons. "โActually, just don't leave my side, babe, none of the fucks are worth your time anyways."
Olli's voice was the first thing heard as they entered rinkside, loud and excited as he tried to wave Mario and you over with a grin. As per usual, Mario ignored the frenchman and just kept walking, immediately beelining towards the coolers of alcohol readily available.
"Are you gonna want to skate?" A casual ask as Mario fished a vodka cooler from the ice, passing it off to you before grabbing one of his own. The ice was open, and a quick glance showed Alexander and Vincent trying to wrestle each other to the ground while Luca yelled at them for being 'fucking idiots trying to get benched', while further down Elijah and Danielle were in the midst of a heated argument. If Mario knew them, at any moment Danielle would start yelling with that shrill fucking voice, and even the thought gave Mario a headache.
Yeah, maybe skating wasn't the best idea.
