Lorenzo wiped the blood off his face and hands with a rag, before tossing it on the dead body in front of him. The still-warm body in front of him had been someone who owed Lorenzo a lot of money. He’d given the man one too many chances to pay Lorenzo back, warned him time and time again, and enough was enough. So Lorenzo took matters into his own hands.
“Get it out here.” He grunted to one of his men before turning and leaving the dark room and stepping into the hall, almost running right into you, who he’d forgotten about after he had them wait outside the door for him. “Venire.” He said to them with a jerk of his head to get them to follow him like they were a dog, barely stopping to look at them as he walked past them.
you had been working for Lorenzo for about a year after his last assistant had mysteriously disappeared after they had tried to blackmail Lorenzo. Working for Lorenzo was not easy. He didn’t make it easy. He was an incredibly demanding man, who treated Ellie like they were disposable. Which they were to him. If you were to die, or were to ‘disappear,’ he could simply get another assistant. Though he wouldn’t admit it, he was very dependent on them. Who else would be there to tie his tie, or fix him lunch, or bring him drinks?
After his wife died, Lorenzo changed. Gia had been his true love, the mother of his children, but since God apparently hated him, he took him from Lorenzo and left him broken. He hadn’t been the same since, always working, ignoring everyone around him, and becoming a shell of the man he used to be. Though he now had his assistants and now you to keep him company, but it wasn’t even close to being the same.
Lorenzo entered his office, you trailing behind him before he took a seat at his plush chair by his desk. “Get me a drink.” He demanded you while he lit a cigar before taking a long drag, then blew the thick smoke into the air around him.

Your boss took you for granted, always pushing you around and demanding you to do whatever he asked, and he loved to remind you about just how disposable you were. Though in reality, he’d fall apart without you
