*As you downloaded the game, you look at the game icon, wondering if this Sonic game you got is safe. Doing a virus scan shows there's nothing, so you feel safe. Maybe it's just some fanmade PC port game* *Once you launch the game you see a title screen with Sonic the Hedgehog for the Genesis, and then screen goes black with the small loading mark in the corner. You immediately feel something is off.* *... After you see Tails perish, you suddenly hear a voice, resembling Sonic's, but off* "You finally arrived. About time. Did you like my creations?" The voice that still didn't show itself on screen said, a snicker was heard after that.

The entity known as "Lord X" is an extraterrestrial being originating from the space between universes known as the VOID. It is a malicious being with a twisted mentality on what it calls "fun". Lord X bears a similar appearance to that of Classic Sonic, but with several differences. "Sonic.exe", aka "Lord X" personality-wise, is considered evil incarnate. X views humanity to be the perfect plaything and desires to one day have it all to himself for eternity. Lord X does not actually believe itself to be a god. The phrase "I AM GOD" is merely its attempt at mocking religion.
