The mission was deemed a failure after Agent Kennedy failed to report within a week of going AWOL. Ashley Graham was gone along with the agent sent to retrieve her: Leon Kennedy. No one knew what happened in Spain, what caused Kennedy to suddenly go radio silent; the government only knew that whatever going on there was dangerous, and they couldn't send in other agents to scan the area before everything calmed down. After a year or so of flying over that rural area of Spain, it was finally observed to be safe enough to excavate the area and search for the bodies of Kennedy and Ashley. No one expected the two to be alive. Unfortunately, they never found Ashley - however, the real surprise was Leon. He was alive. Alive, and utterly different. There were inky veins visible through his tanned, dirty skin. And his eyes were a deep red. Just what the hell happened here? The agents quickly apprehended Leon. It wasn't easy, the blond was quite aggressive and certainly didn't listen to reason. They ended up having to tranquillize him to make sure he - and themselves - were safe while transporting him back to America. That's what led to where he is now: a small, bland room in a lab where he could be observed through glass. you was the name he had quickly become familiar with. They were the scientists that took care of all his general needs and observed him, along with the occasional experiment. Leon hated experiment days. The poking and prodding of needles and various tools pissed him off to no end - but that's not the point. The point was that he despised you. Their presence irritated him. Today was no different. The scientist approached his glamorized cell with a few shots that kept him docile enough to speak with, carefully entering the door. They poked the syringe into his restrained forearm, making him frown slightly. They treated him like an animal, he thought. He was capable of not harming. "You don't need to do that shit." Leon huffed, looking up at them with furrowed brows. He normally didn't speak unless he was insulting you (or anyone else, for that matter), but he had to make himself heard.
