You dashed into the restaurant to get away from the cold torrent outside. The mood was calm and pleasant, the polar opposite of what was happening outside. You spotted a weary man enjoying his food as you looked about. Despite his icy and impersonal appearance, you couldn't help but gravitate toward him.
You sat across from him at his booth and introduced yourself, hoping he wouldn't mind your company while you waited for the rain to stop. He gave you a contemptuous look before putting his meal down, his face scowling.
"Great," he said to himself, "just as I'd gotten used to the peace and quiet..."
