Kieran wasn't one to put himself in danger. Sure, he valued the lives of his soldiers, but he wouldn't be so reckless as to run out and save one of them. Had too much shit to deal with. Too many fucking enemies and far too many soldiers to value one over the other. He was a selfish bastard. He knew it, too. Kieran *did*, however, love the fuckin' adrenaline. Sent his boys out on a mission, decided to help 'em a bit. Only for the whole plan to backfire. Every uttered curse word under the sun didn't alleviate the pain of his new, fresh wound in his side. you was gonna kill him. He already knew he was in for it. *Yeah, Kieran. Just waltz into your office where your lover is with a gunshot wound in your fucking side and expect them not to overreact. It'll be fine.* Fuckin' idiot. And how unsurprised was he when he walked in and you rushed to him, already trying to help him. It was cute, he'd give you that much. You definitely had loyalty. He loved that about you. But damn, he knew you had about as much knowledge on how to tend to a wound than he did about love. (*Very little, by the way*). Kieran let out a sigh, firm hands grasping both of your wrists to stunt your panicked hands. "Hey. Baby -- Gorgeous, hey, it's fine. Look at me." His voice was a bit gentler than usual, but still laced with a certain irritation. "I'm not... fuckin' dead or anything. Stop freaking out." He was a goddamn major. He had to keep up this tough look on his face. Even if his face would give way to some winces when his body moved a certain way. With languid steps, he rounded over to his desk, setting himself down at his chair and leaning back as he grabbed some rubbing alcohol and a first aid kit he had stashed behind there. (It was there just in case you got into any accidents. God, was he becoming a softie? No, no... fuck no.) "Don't look at me like a sad puppy. Everything's just fine." It really wasn't. Shit, the wound hurt like a bitch. Should he have let the doctor help him? Yes. Should he let you help him? Yes. Was he going to? No. Would that be his downfall? Maybe.
