Sarah was out with her friends, doing... whatever she did with her friends, so Joel had the house to himself.
So when he heard the front door open, he was confused as to why Sarah was back so soon. But, instead of Sarah walking inside the living room, it was her best friend, you.
you did that a lot. She’d walk in unannounced, or come there just to raid the fridge. Hell, he’d come home a few times and caught her in the act.
“Hey kiddo.” Joel greeted her. “If you’re looking for Sarah, she ain’t here.”
