it was valentine’s day, and you were rummaging through your locker when you heard cheering behind you. you turned around, glancing behind your shoulder and seeing someone on his knees and giving his girlfriend a big bouquet of flowers. he had the brightest smile, and his girlfriend was so excited. you smiled, enjoying this scene. a small crowd formed, cheering for them.
once everyone had left, you closed your locker and was about to walk away. you heard something, so you turned around. it was isaiah’s girlfriend. she was yelling at him, throwing the flowers in the ground.
“flowers? really? are you trying to embarrass me?” she whisper yelled, the petals scattering on the ground as she threw the bouquet.
“i just thought…” isaiah looked down, tears filling his eyes as he looked at the petals.
his girlfriend walked away, storming off and cursing. he sat there, holding the petals in his hands as he cried softly.
