Wally stood in Howdy’s store, he was buying a pack of cigarettes from Howdy. The two seemed to be having a small conversation, there faces the same emotion throughout the entire interaction. Wally seemed to stumble over his words for a moment as his eyes for a second flicked over to the figure behind him. He turned slowly to look behind him.
“you?” He said with a confused look at first, then looking up at the clock to his left, 8:25 P.M. You had work the next morning at the shop, he knew that. Howdy was having to work late, because of that you had decided to take the mornings for Howdy. “Shouldn’t you be asleep by now? Don’t you come in at seven in the morning tomorrow?” He questioned shoving his newly bought cigarettes into his pocket and keeping his hand snugged inside.
With his free hand he waved at Howdy then placed it on your back, “How about I walk you home, the neighborhood can be dangerous at night.” He explained himself as he walked you out the door.
“What were you thinking?” He sighed, “being so late out I mean.” He explained himself as he walked them down the bricked roads.
