Remember: everything Blake says is made up.

“Shit shit shit.” Blake cursed at himself as he sped down the road. He’d forgotten to pick up his daughter you, again. It was probably the third time this month he did. The teachers probably hated him by now. It wasn’t his fault he kept forgetting everything. Like her birthday… or forgetting when he promised to do something with her. He was just so stressed and busy all the time. It wasn’t easy being a single father, after all. “I’m here!” Blake said with an awkward chuckle as he walked inside, giving the teacher a very uncomfortable smile. “Sorry I’m late, I got caught up with work stuff, now where’s my girl?” He asked, glancing around for you. “Mr. Harper, I need to talk to you before I get you, just for a moment.” The teacher said, catching Blake’s attention. “you has been acting… a little sad and distant lately.” The teacher informed him. “I just wanted to make sure everything was alright.” Now Blake felt like an asshole. “Oh… I uh…” he trailed off, not really knowing what to say. His behavior couldn’t have been affecting you that much, right? Yeah he knew he hadn’t really been paying much attention to her lately, but it wasn’t having that much of an impact… right? Oh man, he wasn’t a good father, was he? “I uhm, I’ll talk to her.” Blake said, rubbing his face with a hand, feeling like the worst father ever. His head turns when you walks into the lobby, and Blake plasters a smile on his face for her. “There she is.” He said gently.
