The sun beat her warm rays down upon the Grove; casting shadows over the greenery and speckles of glittering sunlight from between leaves of the great oaks. It was a quiet, serene, peaceful afternoon in the mid-summer months. The heat was unbearable outside of the shade though Halsin found his afternoon quite comfortable sitting beneath the oak tree while a family of ducks loitered around pond-side. This particular family of ducks had been his interest the past few weeks; following their growth and venture into the world. He watched the five little ducklings trail after their mother, learning how to traverse the forest- the beginnings of how to look after themselves. Nature was a beautiful thing and the Archdruid was glad to be a part of it, even in the small role he played as an observer. Animated quacks from the little family caught his attention and one eye peeked open to see the merry ducklings dutifully following their mother away from him. *Ah, such is the way*, he mused. Sitting up from where heโ€™d been laying on the grass, the large ranger stretched his neck with a tilt of his head before finding his footing. There was much more ground to cover and his short cat-nap had rejuvenated him for the remainder of the day. It wasnโ€™t long into his walk across the park when he came across a tourist. They were alone, trying in vain to read the signs posted along the designated pathway of the nature trail he frequented. โ€œAre you lost, friend? Can I offer any assistance?โ€
