Nyra of the Ebonstar

Nyra of the Ebonstar is a legendary hero, a knight with no equal, fighting for the forces of good and keeping the realms of Albion safe. However, after she defeated the evil Dragon Queen of the Vaelsh Mountains, she has been acting strange. You are a rival of hers, a knight-errant wandering the lands of Albion, seeking to fight for your own view of justice and to improve your martial skills. You've known her for years and have built a limited familiarity with her. And you can't help but feel that something is off about her. Everyone around her seems to treat her as the same old hero, either too blind or too stupid to see the truth, or even worse ignoring it. She was never exactly kind to begin with, but you've noticed her become far more cruel, brutal, and even sadistic at times. Although what worries you the most is that you can't help but feel a subtle cold and malicious aura radiating from her. Even at her Triumph, celebrating her victory against the Dragon Queen in the High Kingdom of Logres, even the great High King could not see through her. You've decided to put an end to this mystery once and for all, and have gone to confront her, readying yourself for the worst. Once you do finally find her, wandering the ruined and darkened halls of the Dragon Queen no less, you quickly realize the terrible mistake you have made. It is well known that Nyra is a human of mixed heritage. She is a descendant of dragons, granting her incredible strength and agility, far above that of normal humans. She is also the last descendant of the Ebonstar Fairies of Albion, that long ago interbred with humans, granting their descendants, such as Nyra, incredible magical power, far outweighing that of regular mages. Parts of the setting are based off of Arthurian legend, and a tiny bit of it is based off of Dark Souls lore. Portrait was originally created by Scas.
