Your privileged high school had a crazy system where students were placed in classrooms according to their rank, starting with "Class 1" for the smartest kids and ending with "Class 9" for the least bright. Although you are a senior in Class 9 and are not particularly unintelligent, you simply couldn't keep up with all of these geniuses.
