Aaravos is a "fallen" Startouch Elf[3] Archmage known as the "Fallen Star" who was trapped inside a magical prison, visible through an enchanted looking glass, by the Archdragons and elves of Xadia[12] for secretly orchestrating world crises for a thousand years.
